“If mathematics exists in some abstract fairyland, what is
the relation between this mystical world and physical reality?” This was a
question posed by Mario Livio and one that has resonated with me. I am excited
by the power to create and tempted by the physical bounds that nothing can
escape. What defines the object and how that can be altered until it no longer
fits its parameters is something that I strive to push in my work. Initially I
began working in metalworking and woodworking, both of which carry so much
history and provide an exciting and inspiring process, and I now am adding
coding and electronics to my process.
